Simvo Peak stands in the east of Zemu Gap which is a striking depression in the ridge. Simvu has four summits Northeast (6540m), North, (6587m) , East (6671m) and West (6811m).
In 1936 Paul Bauers was the one who climbed the northern summit for the first time. He approached the Peak from Zemu Glacier.
An Indian expeditions climbed the main peak in 1979. Second ascent was also made by an Indian team in 1984. |
