synopsis: One of the several small peaks of Spiti valley, Kanamo stands near the village of Kibbar, reputed to be the highest inhabited village in the world.
Kanamo peak rise above the famous Ki monastery, the holiest in Spiti.
Ka means ‘white’or ‘auspicious’ word of a high priest while namo means ‘hostess’.
The trail begins from Kibbar village, 18km from Kaja and permission to climb is required
in advance from the IMF, New Delhi
