synopsis: Also known as Surgnalin I, it is located at an altitude of 6252 m in the Garhwal region of India. It is a snow clad peak which is the source of River Tons. Bandarpunch and Swargarohini I acts as a divider between the Bhagirathi and Yamuna rivers. It is extremly difficult to climb Swargarohini I. It was first ascended in 1990 by instructors of Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. Again in 1993 it was ascended by a Swedish team under Ake nilsson.
