Height: 6474 Location: North of Valley of Flowers National park Glacier: Tipra Bamak Best Climbing Season: May, June,July,August,September Grade: Technical Accessibility: Open synopsis: Nilgiri parvat lies in the Valley of Flowers. It was first ascended in 1937 and the second ascent was made in 1962 by an Indian team. From the Amrit Ganga Valley it can be ascended from the eastern and northern face which is really challenging. In 1994 an Indian team headed by Brig Pushkar Chand ascended it from the northern face. It is also referred to as Blue mountain.
