Synopsis:
Baltoro glacier is surrounded by high peaks. It is situated in the southern slopes of central Karakoram range in the Baltistan area of Jammu and Kashmir. The moving ice of this glacier has created depressions at various places leading to the creation of glacial lakes . The features of this glacier are vast snowfields, wide trough,sidewalls which vary from steep to precipitous.
