Pindari

Pindari Glacier
Length: 5 Kilo Meters
Location: The Pindari Glacier is located in the Bageshwar district which falls in the Kumaon Himalayas.

Song to Bageshwar 36-km

Song to Kathgodam 199 kms.
From Almora, Bageshwar and Kathgodam, the distance to Song can be covered through road. Then, it’s a trek of 47-km up to zero point (Pindari glacier). The color of Pindari glacier is very white but at some places shades of light blue and brown may also be visible.
Synopsis: 
This 5-km long glacier is 2.5 m wide and its nose is about 6 m high. The Pindari glacier is situated in the Pindar valley between longitudes 790 13’-800 02’ E and latitudes 300 15’ N. The area occupied by this glacier is around 339.39-sq-kms.
