It is a distance of 207 kms from Dehradun to Taluka.
In order to reach the glacier, avail the bus service from Dehradun to Sankri-Saur and then from Sankri-Saur to Taluka, it is a jeep able distance of just 11 kms., then Osia, 14 kms. From Osia to just below the glacier snout, that is Ruinsara Tal offers an enjoyable camping site. From Ruinsara, you can enjoy the view of the glacier and encompassing areas.
Synopsis:
The last surface level of this 12 kms. Long glacier is indicated by the lateral moraines which have dominated it. it is an important Glacier of The Yamuna River Basin.
