Kausani is a beautiful hillstation of Almora district. It was referred to as Switzerland of India by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and he was mesmerized by it’s beauty. It is an ideal holiday spot and it offers excellent views of Nanda Devi, Trishul and Panch chuli peaks. A beautiful view of the sun rising from the Nanda Devi range can be had from Kausani. It is also the birthplace of great poet Sumitra Nandan Pant. A person who enjoys being in the lap of nature must visit Kausani and enjoy it’s quiet environment.
