This 400 years old town is located in the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. Mandi is situated at the base of Shivalik ranges on the banks of river Beas. It is a known tourist destination and is considered to be the gateway to Kullu valley. In the earlier times Mandi served as a trade route to Tibet. It has a rich historic,cultural and mythological heritage. Sage Mandvya is believed to have meditated over here. Mandi is home to many famous temples and is known for it’s 81 stone temples and carvings.
