Lahaul valley is marked by high mountains and huge glaciers. Lahaul is the land of Buddhist art and culture. It provides unlimited opportunities for trekkers for adventurous activities. It is surrounded by a number of mountains with Himalayas lying in the north and mid Himalayas in the south. This valley has a number of glaciers which flow down the cleft in the precipices on both sides of Chandra and extend and extend from beds of snow above down to and even in the river.
